Monoprints are threaded and burned and meant to be suspended from above with monofilament tied to loops on top. The back is also filled with monoprinting from stencils cut from Mylar. The stencils are prints are printed on a printing press and layered in different directions over and over again to create depth and complexity. The edges of the prints are burned, and the pieces are attached with thread, symbolizing the fragility and interconnectedness of life. This language of music and image is central to this work, where each element informs and enhances the other, blending the auditory and visual into a unified language of expression.
